Lighthouse Glass

The Dutch lighthouses, who’ve helped ships to navigate the coasts of The Netherlands safely inspired this glass series. Lighthouse lamps are constructed from ribbed & bended glass and mirrors. These distinctive features have been translated into a phased glass material, that is used as the basis for this series.

All glasses have been created by a master glassblower from glass studio Van Tetterode Amsterdam. The tumblers have been pressed while the carafe has been blown. At Masterly – the Dutch in Milano – the first prototypes of this glass series are shown. New experiments, which involves exploring the boundaries of pressing glass pressing and coloring glass, will follow.
